Tinnyse Johnson

Entered as Miss Fox Phone Card Center, 21 year old Tinnyse Jamel Johnson proved to be the fiercest of the "Fierce Fifteen", as she walked away with the title of Miss Bahamas World 2008 before a capacity crowd at the Rainforest Theatre on the Cable Beach strip of Nassau, Bahamas. Tinnyse was overcome with emotion as she had finally achieved a life long dream. Standing at 5' 8 ½" tall, the statuesque beauty is excited about the opportunity to represent her beloved Bahamas to the world.

Tinnyse is truly an island girl at heart. "I love the island way of life – fishing, crabbing, conching, and especially making tamarind sauce," she says. She also often makes time to enjoy the beautiful beaches of The Bahamas. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, listening to music, writing inspirational messages, and taking in a good movie – solo.

Tinnyse is currently enrolled in the College of the Bahamas where she is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She hopes to put that education to good use by one day owning a conglomerate of businesses internationally. She also wants to make her mark on the international inspirational speaking circuit.

Tinnyse is a fighter. Having survived being in a coma, she describes herself as determined, optimistic, and compassionate. One of her goals is to assist young women on their journey to achieving wholeness. Her philosophy: we must be careful of the seeds we sew in life, whether good or bad, bearing in mind that we shall surely reap what we sew.
