Miss World Bahamas 2021 is Sienna Evans!
Nassau, Bahamas, October 29, 2021– Timing is everything. When Sienna Evans first competed for the Miss Bahamas title, she was only 17 years old. She fell just short of capturing the crown, placing first runner up. Fast forward to 2021, and the now 24-year-old is more accomplished, educated, and as the new Miss Bahamas World, ready to capture the Miss World title. Sienna was selected as the country’s banner bearer to the world’s largest and most prestigious pageant during a private selection process, made necessary due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Beyond thrilled, she literally shed tears when she was selected to carry the title.

Sienna’s impressive resume includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Neuroscience and Human Behavior which she attained while studying at the Honors College of Florida Atlantic University (FAU). She serves on the board of the National Brain Injury Foundation in The Bahamas. Additionally, she is the owner of Access Bahamas Medical Labs, a network of bio-medical laboratories offering clinic services, concierge service for Covid tests by appointment, and drive through antigen tests. It is through her labs that she will facilitate her Beauty with a Purpose project – a critical component of the Miss World pageant in which contestants are required to work on a project that helps the people in their home countries, allowing them to use their abilities to make a real and lasting contribution to the lives of the sick and disadvantaged. Sienna’s project Access Granted will center around providing accessible healthcare to all Bahamians.
The new Miss Bahamas World is not just a stunning beauty with brains, but she is also very athletic, which makes her a great contender for the Miss World title. Miss World places emphasis on the fitness of its delegates which is highlighted in the pageant’s Sportswoman competition. As an avid tennis player, collegiate softball player, mountain trekker, skier, swimmer, and equestrian, she is more than ready to meet the task.
Under normal circumstances, Miss Bahamas World is chosen after a nationwide search and grueling pageant competition. However, the process is now on a hiatus since the onslaught of the Covid 19 pandemic which has affected pageants around the world, including the Miss World competition which was postponed for a year. MBO, which has held the Miss World franchise for 16 years, made the decision to select a representative this year, given the financial constraints of holding a pageant at this time, and the looming health concerns of Covid 19.
Having already competed in the Miss Bahamas Organization system, Sienna was among the best possible candidates given her experience in local pageantry and overall readiness.
Her preparations are in full gear. She is being tutored by one of the world’s leading pageant coaches; her wardrobe will feature the best of the best from designers here in The Bahamas and around the world; and her musical skills are being honed for an unforgettable performance in the talent competition.
“We acknowledge that this year’s selection process was not typical, however unusual times call for unusual measures. This was the best possible scenario, given the state we still find ourselves in as a country and the importance of continuity and a return to normalcy, even in pageantry. That being said, we are confident that Sienna will do very well at this year’s Miss World pageant, and we are certainly giving her the support that she needs to do so.”

Sienna departs for Puerto Rico in a few weeks for the start of the Miss World competition which begins November 21. The finale will be held on December 16 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She will be officially crowned prior to her departure by outgoing queen Nyah Bandelier on a date to be announced.
