A classical moment

Miss World contestants were treated to a classical concert at the Sala sinfónica Pablo Casals in San Juan. Los Cuentos De “Mi Madre La Oca” translated as the Stories of Mother Goose was directed by the talented Karlo Flores, who took the audience on a journey with both vocal and musical storytelling. 

The concert began by telling the story of mother goose as five children sat around their grandmother reading from a book while accompanied by a marvellous orchestra setting both mood and pace. The story took a journey through many folk tales such as Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent and Beauty and the Beast. Each story set a perfect atmosphere, whether it was through the deep and turbulent sound of the contra bassoon for the Beasts roar or the soft flute melody of Belles gentle voice. The concert ended with a standing ovation for all the talented musicians and story tellers on stage, followed by some beautiful photos taken in the symphony hall. 

This was the first time that Sienna experienced an orchestra performance. She discovered a new love for classical music.
